Dual function kitchen

Looking for creative ideas for the kitchen? We show you how kitchen furniture packed with functional solutions makes cooking a joy while transforming your space. The stand-out feature is on the back of the "wall", where we've maximised space with a built-in cloakroom.

Clever combination: cloakroom plus kitchen

Space is especially valuable in small homes, so it makes sense to use furniture rather than walls to divide your rooms. We show you how it's done in our model kitchen, where the "wall" is fully functional on both sides – a kitchen on the front, and a cloakroom on the back.

Fully equipped with all the usual features, the "dead" space on the back of this modern L-shaped kitchen also comes with practical storage space options for the hallway:

  • Acloakroom with pull-out clothes rail

  • Aneasy-access shoe cupboardwith compartments and a mirror

  • The SPACE STEP plinth solution, which makes it easy to reach the cabinets higher up and has space inside for shoehorns, clothes brushes, etc.

Just a few centimetres of depth are all it takes to integrate an easy-access shoe cupboard with compartments and a mirror.

2-in-1 furniture plinth

The 2-in-1 concept informs every centimetre of this kitchen, and one solution in particular really embodies this approach: . Safe and convenient, the SPACE STEP is integrated in both the kitchen and cloakroom areas, allowing you to reach up to 25 centimetres higher, while also creating additional storage space in the furniture plinth. This way, even short people can reach items at the top with ease.

This makes large wall cabinets fitted with lift systems like even more practical. They offer space a-plenty for dishes and glasses – after all, you can never have too much storage space.

Our model kitchen also features AVENTOS HKi, an elegant lift system that literally disappears into the furniture. In addition to enhancing the aesthetics, integrating this fitting into the side panel also creates extra storage space. So if you're designing a new kitchen around clever solutions, it takes very little effort to plan in AVENTOS HKi – for a host of everyday benefits.

With SPACE STEP, even short people can reach high wall cabinets with ease.

Using every nook and cranny

Speaking of clever solutions, there are often small gaps left over when planning a kitchen. Why not make creative use of this space? The narrow cabinet can be built into gaps starting at 15 centimetres and is a great solution for bottles, chopping boards and spices in particular. Installed close to the sink, both the fruit cordial and water for mixing up a drink are now in easy reach.

Our tip:The application is available in a handle-less design with the opening support system, for an essentially seamless integration into the kitchen.

The difference lies in the details

When it comes to features, the furniture's little highlights are what really make the difference. A case in point are the flexible inner dividing systems such as for clear visibility and organisation, or a waste bin pull-out installed at an ergonomic height to make everyday life easier.

Everything at a glance: inner dividing systems make it easy to see and reach the contents of drawers.

This type of dual-purpose furniture lets you tackle two challenges at once by getting more out of your standalone kitchen – without wasting a centimetre of space in the cloakroom.
