“After a long-haul flight, all I want is to get home and relax,” says Jessica, talking about her often stressful day-to-day life. That’s why she had very clear ideas when it came to planning her apartment: “From the very beginning, I made it clear that what matters most to me is that I can rely on my furniture. Slow and steady wins the race
When Jessica gets home, she can hardly wait to sink into her cosy bed. Her bedside table has a handy drawer where she keeps everything she needs to unwind after a long trip: a good book, small snacks, her sleeping mask, tissues... All within easy reach from her mattress.
“Since the room was already fitted with large bulky furniture–the bed and the wardrobe–a traditional bedside cabinet would have felt too heavy. So, we scaled it down and mounted it to the wall. And thanks to the spacious drawer, Jessica still has enough room to stash all her bits and bobs close to the bed without any visible clutter,” explains Niklas, the cabinet maker.
Jessica also opted for a large wall-to-wall wardrobe opposite her bed. Here, too, cabinet maker Niklas chose MERIVOBOX – with a drawer side design that matched the bedside cabinet. In the kitchen, Jessica also likes to see everything at a glance. That’s why her SPACE TOWER larder unit uses MERIVOBOX drawers with glass elements on three sides. "Jessica liked the practical cabinet so much that we also implemented a storage cabinet in the bathroom – for cleaning materials, cosmetics and personal care items,” her cabinet maker explains.
